Wow! Impressive. The air quality and light clutter is so bad here, that you can only see the Milky Way if there is a fresh cold front... And only in the wee hours of the morning.

what is the dark shape in the foreground? I just don't get to see stars with all the ambient city light

The shape in the foreground is the rail that mounts the camera to the scope tube.

Hah! There is a slight tracking error and a slight focus error.

Much less than previous attempts. Next year I think I will have some SERIOUSLY good images.
